1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using sumaautomation.lk ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website, purchase products, or enroll in courses.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or have parental consent
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

3. Products & Services

3.1 Electronic Products

  • All products are genuine and sourced from authorized distributors
  • Product specifications are subject to manufacturer changes
  • Images are for illustration purposes only
  • Warranty periods vary by manufacturer and product type

3.2 Courses & Training

  • Course fees must be paid in full before batch commencement
  • Certificates are issued upon successful course completion (80% attendance required)
  • Course schedules are subject to change with prior notice
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to insufficient enrollment
  • Course materials and equipment are provided during training sessions only

4. Pricing & Payments

We strive to ensure accurate pricing. However:

  • All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR)
  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice
  • Course fees include all materials unless specified otherwise
  • Payment must be completed before order/course enrollment is confirmed
  • We accept payments via bank transfer, online payments, and cash on delivery (selected products)
  • We reserve the right to cancel orders with pricing errors

5. Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery within Colombo: 1-2 business days
  • Delivery outside Colombo: 3-5 business days
  • Free shipping on orders over Rs. 5,000
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout
  • Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery
  • Please inspect products immediately upon delivery
  • We are not responsible for delays by third-party shipping providers

6. Returns & Refunds

6.1 Returns Policy (Products)

  • Unopened, unused products: Return within 7 days for refund/exchange
  • Defective products: Return within 30 days for replacement/refund
  • Products must be in original packaging with all accessories
  • Return shipping costs are customer's responsibility (unless defective)
  • Non-returnable items: Software, course materials, opened electronics

6.2 Course Cancellation Policy

  • 7+ days before batch start: 100% refund
  • 3-6 days before batch start: 50% refund
  • Within 48 hours of batch start: No refund
  • Course transfers to future batches: Allowed once with 3-day notice
  • No-shows: No refund or transfer

6.3 Refund Process

  • Refunds processed within 7-14 business days after approval
  • Refunds issued to original payment method
  • Processing fees (if any) are non-refundable

7. Course Attendance & Conduct

  • Minimum 80% attendance required for certification
  • Late arrival beyond 15 minutes may be marked absent
  • Respect instructors and fellow students at all times
  • No recording of sessions without prior permission
  • Equipment damage due to negligence will be charged
  • We reserve the right to remove disruptive students without refund

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to:

  • Text, graphics, logos, and images
  • Course materials, presentations, and code examples
  • Product descriptions and specifications
  • Website design and layout
  • Software and code

are the property of Suma Automation or its licensors and are protected by copyright laws. Course materials are for personal use only and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the website
  • Post false or misleading information
  • Use automated systems to extract data from our website
  • Share course materials or login credentials with others
  • Reverse engineer or copy our course curriculum

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Suma Automation shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages resulting from product misuse or improper installation
  • Technical issues or interruptions during online course delivery
  • Third-party actions or omissions
  • Results or outcomes from applying course knowledge

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Your continued use of the website, products, or courses constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. Significant changes will be notified via email.
